In cooperation with BINP, Helmholtz Institute Mainz (HIM) is operating a gas-turbine driven HV-Generator. This device enables powering of electrical loads floating on HV-potentials which may prove advantageous for the powering of solenoids in the acceleration channel of magnetized electron coolers and their thermal management. The first HV module has been delivered by BINP in autumn 2018, first successful test runs took place in the HIM testing hall. Further plans for extensions and applications of the module will be presented.

First wavelength-resolved studies of the beam-induced fluorescence have been made at the cooler teststand. Its upgrade to 30 kV has been completed, which will allow operation at 1 Ampere beam current. Operation with the upgraded parameters is imminent and options for further experiemnts will be discussed.
