	FLASH is the superconducting soft X-ray Free Electron Laser in Hamburg at DESY, Germany. Good control over the beam optics is a key aspect of the operation of a SASE FEL. In 2013 a second beam line, FLASH2, was assembled and the modifications necessary to feed the two beam lines were installed downstream of the FLASH linac.
