When introducing the Citect SCADA system into the automated system of the Kurchatov synchrotron radiation source, it was decided to modernize the complex’s vacuum system, including controlling the titanium part of the vacuum pumps. For a long time, titanium evaporators were controlled manually. The switching units of titanium evaporators (BC) are connected in series and have 8 channels. Each channel is connected to the evaporative part of the vacuum pumps. In order not to select blocks and channels manually and to automate the process, it was decided to introduce an ET2-6064D 24-channel relay output module into the system, as well as to develop software in the SCADA system. The relay output module ET2-6064D has 18 power relays (discrete outputs) form A and 6 power relays (discrete outputs) form C. The created software allows you to control the power relays, thereby selecting a specific pump, as well as turning on / off the power unit, for which meets the power supply unit of titanium evaporators (BPPI).
