| The optimal matching and maximum capture to acceleration of the beam strongly depend on right value of the emittance used for beam dynamic simulation. Accurate measurements of the emittance directly at the exit of the Ion source allows to minimize beam losses. Issues and difficulties with measuring of a heavy ion beam emittance at the exit of the electron-string source of multiply charged ions KRION-6T are discussed. The measurement using simulation by three profilometers metod is odserved and analyzed. | ||
