At the NRC "Kurchatov Institute" - ITEP the beam irradiation experiments are being conducted at the HIPr heavy-ion accelerator. It is essential to include helium and hydrogen beams for the proper simulation of radiation driven mechanisms of swelling and void formation. The 3He²⁺ ions enable both the low electrostatic acceleration for ion implantation in the region of interest and full separation from molecular hydrogen ions presented in the beam from ion source. The compact electron-cyclotron resonance ion source for 3He²⁺ ion beam generation was developed in ITEP - NRC "Kurchatov institute". The ion source design and beam parameters are presented and discussed.}}, }
