A superconducting cyclotron named IMP-MK90 is designed in Institute of Mordern Physics(IMP), CAS. The superconducting cyclotron is desinged to accelerate ions of krypton and argon to a energy of 10MeV/nucleon with the extraction beam intensity of 3euA. The use of the cyclotron is mainly for the nuclear pore membranes production, the nulear experiments involving nanotechnologies, etc. Two ECR ion sources are employed to provide krypton ions and argon ions respectively. One axial injection line is employed to transport the ions into the central region of the superconducting cyclotron. The beams are extracted by one electrostatic deflector and two passive magnetic channels. The main parameters of this cyclotron and the technical design of the central region and the extraction system are presented in this paper.
