The first results of the powerful INR DTL RF channel testing with new modulator vacuum tube were discussed at RUPAC2016*. Unlike the former RF channel operation, the powerful 200 MHz pulse triode GI-71A was applied as modulator vacuum tube instead of GMI-44A, specially designed for INR DTL RF system in the 70s-80s of the last century. The main problem after modulator vacuum tube changing is that modulator vacuum tube GI-71A can't be closed by the series crowbar system in case of RF power amplifier breakdowns. At that a full discharge of the artificial forming line at the modulator vacuum tube plate takes place. It should be noted that the series crowbar system successfully operated for nearly ten years with vacuum tube GMI-44A, Over the past two years the tests were continued at the most powerful RF channels #2 and #3. At that, the work was developed in two directions - improvement of GI-71A vacuum by means of magnetic discharge pump installation and by inputting of nonlinear elements and corrective circuits, limiting overvoltage at the grid of GI-71A modulator vacuum tube.
