Resonance accelerator presented in this paper was designed to generate electron beams with the energy up to 7.5 MeV and with average power up to 300 kW. Such a high designed power of the beam requires permanent monitoring of its dynamic characteristics. The output beam parameters are diagnosed; however, the section of electron injection is still problematic because of the lack of diagnostic equipment at this stage. Current injection channel and variant of its supplementary equipping are considered in this paper. Supplementary equipping intends the installation of diagnostic equipment and additional focusing magnetic components. The presented variant of modernization is based on the results of beam dynamics calculations. The test bench with the ability of electron beam diagnostics was developed to verify performed calculations. Composition and geometry of the updated injection channel were completely reproduced on the test bench. It involves RF injector (100 keV, 40 mA), beam magnetic transport system and diagnostic equipment. Diagnostic devices make it possible to measure electron energy, average current, electron bunches length and to control the position of transporting electron beam. Basing on the calculations and experimental researches the optimal variant of injection system was suggested. This injection system is expected to be integrated into the accelerator complex in future.
