Infrared spectroscopy was used to study the structure of a polymer material before and after irradiation of each layer. Atomic emission microscope was used to study the surface of a film. Evolution of the film surface characteristics can lead to a change in the barrier properties of film material used for packaging in the food industry. Investigation of polymer film treated with fast electrons showed stable results on dispersion at doses up to 18 kGy.
