Funding: The research was supported by the grant from the Russian Science Foundation (project 16-19-10535) Pyroelectric crystals, such as LiNbO3 or LiTaO3 being under influence of temperature gradient produce electric field up to 106 kV/cm. It was experimentally confirmed that the crystal installed in the chamber with residual gas pressure about 1 mTorr can be used for generation of X-Rays*, electrons** and neutrons***. The unique property to generate high potential without external high voltage power supply can be used to develop compact electron and ion accelerators with particles energies up to several hundred keV for different applications. We have developed the laboratory experimental setup for exciting d-d nuclear fusion by pyroelectric crystal LiTaO3. The setup allows to provide and control the neutrons generated during d-d nuclear fusion. It is shown that the neutrons with energy 2.45 MeV can be generated starting from a level of electric potential generated by pyroelectric crystal about 30 kV, in contrast to the typical neutron tubes which need the applied outer high voltage level about 100 kV. The results of the neutrons observation and possible construction of the pyroelectric neutron generator are presented. * Brownridge J.D. // Nature. 1992. V. 358. Funding: The work was supported by a program of the ministry of education and science of The Russian Federation for higher education establishments, project 14.578.21.0192 (RFMEFI57816X0192). Pyroelectric materials can be used for generation self-focused electron and positive ions beams with energy up to a 100 keV and in construction of miniature pyroelectric accelerators, which might be used for X-Ray, electron beam, neutrons generation. A new type detector of a charged particle beam based on pyroelectric crystals is proposed and demonstrated experimentally in *. In a proof-of-principle experiment, we demonstrated deflection of a low-energy electron beam. Also, the applicability of polarized ferroelectric ceramics as a pyroelectric material in a pyroelectric accelerator is shown by experiments**. * A.N.
