AB - The Iranian light source facility (ILSF) is a new 3 GeV synchrotron radiation laboratory in the design stage. As the main radiation source, the ILSF storage ring is based on a five-bend achromat lattice providing an ultralow emittance of 0.27 nmrad. The radiated beam critical energy from 0.56 T storage ring (SR) dipole magnet is limited to 3.35 KeV. To overcome the limitation of hard X-ray region above 20 KeV, three-pole wigglers will be used to provide improved photon flux in both the soft and the hard X-ray region. The suggested three-pole wiggler (3PW) with the length of 250 mm and the peak field about 1.4 T is placed beside the central dipole magnet in the SR lattice to utilize high energy (~30 KeV) synchrotron radiation at ILSF. In this article, the physical design efforts for the 3PW will be described and its radiation source is compared with the main SR dipole magnet.
