As detector we use a two-section ionization chamber filled with air at normal pressure. It structurally consists of two ionization chambers with different interelectrode distances, combined into a single module. Electrodes made of aluminum foil with a thickness of 10 mkm. The number of protons that have passed through the two-section ionization chamber, is calculated in real time according to the developed algorithm. Experimental information about the total number of protons and the average value of the flux of protons is displayed on the screen of the computer monitor. Photographic images of the proton beam of various energy were used for the analysis of the density distribution of protons in the beam. With their help, the method of computing the number of protons falling on any given area of the irradiated object was developed and experimentally verified. PB - JACoW CP - Geneva, Switzerland ER -
