The SPS-II accelerator complex consists of a 150-MeV injector linac, a 3-GeV booster synchrotron and a 3-GeV storage ring. The RF system of both storage ring and booster is based on a frequency of 119 MHz. In this paper, design considerations and specifications of the SPS-II injector linac are presented. A study on the injector linac in multi-bunch mode (MBM) and single-bunch mode (SBM) was done to get appropriate parameters for top-up injection and different filling patterns in the storage ring.}}, }
