Beam dynamics simulations were done recently in a double pass recirculating proton linac using a single bunch. For continuous wave (CW) operation, the high energy proton beam bunch during the second pass will catch up and collide with the low energy proton bunch at a number of locations inside the superconducting linac. In this paper, we report on the study of the space-charge effects during a collision on both beams through the rest of the linac.
