CARSO includes routines which check the effects of magnetic components on the beam, check the measurements of the beam position monitors and simultaneously steer the beam through the ring to perform one full tum. The programs are written in ANSI extended standard FORTRAN 77 and comprise 6000 lines of source code, 87 subroutines and about 1000 different variables. The concepts used within CARSO are presented.}}, }
