PAL is operating the upgraded Pohang Light Source (PLS-II) and X-ray free electron laser (PAL-XFEL) on its campus. PLS-II is a third-generation synchrotron radiation facility with 36 working beamlines. PAL-XFEL is a normal conducting hard X-ray FEL based on normal conducting technology, with two hard and one soft X-ray experimental station.
