AB - The European Spallation Source, ESS, will be the world's brightest neutron source driven by the highest power linac, when it enters into operations. Different parts of the 5 MW ESS linac are being installed in Lund, Sweden and beam commissioning of the source is planned for early summer this year. This contribution will present a summary of the status of the project, including progress in the design, manufacturing and testing of different beam line components of the linac.
