Thanks to an upgrade of the polarized proton source we plan to increase the proton intensity to 3.0·10¹¹ per bunch. In order to accommodate the amplified beam-beam effect originating from proton beams with this unprecedented intensity, a beam-beam compensation scheme with a new lattice and two electron lenses (e-lenses) was installed, commissioned and began operation during the 2015 polarized 100 GeV proton Run.
