Strategic Management for Delivery and Installation of Ion Source and Low Energy Beam Transport for ESS Project | |

| At the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare - Laboratori Nazionali del Sud (INFN-LNS), the delivery and installation of the high intensity Proton Source for the European Spallation Source (PS-ESS) was completed in February 2018. All planned activities were performed successfully in time without unexpected events and additional costs. The analysis of the environment in which the INFN-LNS operates and the goals to be achieved, allowed to formulate a series of strategic decisions to be undertaken. The next step was the implementation of these decisions on the organi-zation's resources. The paper summarize the day-to-day process and actions adopted for a safe transfer of the equipment and of the knowledge needed for the next operations and for the maintenance the Ion Source. | ||
