AB  - At RIKEN, the high performance ECR ion sources have been constructed and developed to meet the requirements of the RIBF project in last two decades. In this project, most important beams are the highly charged U ion beam for production of RI beam using projectile like fragmentation and medium mass metal ion beam for super-heavy elements search experiments. The intensity of these beams has been dramatically increased by construction of new SC-ECRIS with 28 GHz microwaves and improving its performances. For example, at present stage, we successfully produced 350euA of U³³⁺, 10euA of U⁵⁵⁺ and so on at the RF power of ~3 kW. To obtain these results, we studied the effect of the consumption rate of the materials systematically. In this contribution, I present the present status and development process of the SC-ECRISs at RIKEN
