A detailed simulation of the Electron Cooling process has been created using a hybrid kinetic model, where the full 6d phase space of a multi-particle beam is immersed in a fluid plasma of electrons. This simulation has been implemented in the tracking code RF-Track, with the aim of exploring the performance of electron coolers in presence of realistic imperfections. Simulations results, and benchmarks against experimental data measured at CERN at LEIR, are presented and discussed in this poster. PB - JACoW CP - Geneva, Switzerland ER -
