TI - Magnet Design and Synchrotron Damping Considerations for a 100 TeV Hadron Collider J2 - Proc. of IPAC2015, Richmond, VA, USA, May 3-8, 2015 C1 - Richmond, VA, USA T2 - International Particle Accelerator Conference T3 - 6 LA - english AB - A conceptual design is presented for a 100 TeV hadron collider based upon a 4.5 T NbTi cable-in-conduit dipole technology. It incorporates a side radiation channel to extract synchrotron radiation from the beam channel so that it does not produce limitations from heating on a beam liner or gas load limits on collider performance. Synchrotron damping can be used to support ‘bottom-up’ stacking to sustain maximum luminosity in the collisions.
