The cost and scale of the projects increase with the energy and beam power. For the superconducting linac, the choice of beta family is the key point to determine the effective acceleration efficiency of the whole facility. The Particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) is proposed to optimize the TTF value of the cavities to increase the acceleration efficiency. The project cost considering main hardware price is the final objective to evaluate the choice of beta family. The C-ADS lianc is used as an example to demonstrate the application of the new method. The optimization process and results are presented in the paper.
