Currently ISIS uses the Vista controls system suite of software. I present our work in implementing a new EPICS control system for our Front End Test Stand (FETS) currently running VISTA. This new EPICS system is being used to evaluate a possible migration from Vista to EPICS at a larger scale in ISIS. I present my experience in the initial implementation of EPICS, considerations on using a phased transition during which the two systems are run in parallel, and our future plans with regard to developing control systems in an established decades-old accelerator with heterogeneous systems.}, }
