Since there are no clearly defined criteria to distinguish the halo from the core, the measurement of the halo structure without affecting the core is challenging. Previously, a novel design of an iris diaphragm detector for transverse beam halo distributions and transverse profile was reported by Euclid Techlabs*. This multi-purpose design not only measures the transverse beam distribution but may also work as a tunable collimator or an adjustable BPM. In this paper, the beam experiments using the ~ 1 MeV electron beam at the AWA Cathode Teststand (ACT) of ANL and the 200 keV TEM beam at Euclid are discussed for the most up-to-date version of this new apparatus: Iris Diaphragm e-beam Apparatus Series -Halo (IDEAS-Halo).
