AB - Non-Gaussian beam distributions around the Gaussian core can be formed in an accelerator in both the transverse and longitudinal directions. Since there are no clearly defined criteria to distinguish the halo from the core, the measurement of the halo structure without affecting the core is challenging. Previously, a novel design of an iris diaphragm detector for transverse beam halo distributions and transverse profile was reported by Euclid Techlabs*. This multi-purpose design not only measures the transverse beam distribution but may also work as a tunable collimator or an adjustable BPM. In this paper, the beam experiments using the ~ 1 MeV electron beam at the AWA Cathode Teststand (ACT) of ANL and the 200 keV TEM beam at Euclid are discussed for the most up-to-date version of this new apparatus: Iris Diaphragm e-beam Apparatus Series -Halo (IDEAS-Halo).
