AB - Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) is a powerful method for separating isotopes, and electrostatic tandem accelerators are widely used for AMS. Sungkyunkwan University is developing AMS that can be used in a smaller space based on cyclotron. Unlike conventional cyclotrons used in PET or proton therapy, cyclotron-based AMS provides high turn number and high resolution. In this study, we proposed a cavity with a frequency of 5.8 MHz and an accelerating voltage of 300 V to accelerate the particles in the cyclotron. The proposed cavity was designed as an electrode and verified by CST Microwave studio.
