In this linac type, cell-to-cell coupling is provided by a pair of close-coupled resonant slots, resulting in very strong coupling vs. a typical side-coupled linac design, as well as a much more compact radial space requirement. We discuss the status of the structure fabrication, the RF distribution system, and installation and testing at the UCLA Pegasus facility.
